ASIC/FPGA Design/Verification Engineer

Full Time, Permanent, Days

Solihull - minimum of 3 days a week on-site

We're looking for an experienced ASIC/FPGA Designer or Verification Engineer to join our Complex Electronics Capability team in Solihull. This role offers the chance to work on cutting edge, safety-critical systems that power the future of aerospace and beyond.

What you'll be doing:

You will design and verify advanced digital electronics using FPGA or ASIC technologies, collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-performance solutions.

  • Developing complex digital ASIC/FPGAs using VHDL.
  • Developing complex testbenches in SystemVerilog and UVM test environments.
  • Develop timely and effective solutions for problematic design & verification problems.
  • Integrating debugging designs and supporting teams to resolve issues.

Who we're looking for:

You will bring hands on experience with VDHL, SystemVerilog and UVM along with a string track record of delivering complex engineering projects. You will have:
  • Strong knowledge of platform interfaces, component technologies, system behaviour, verification vehicles, electrical design, system architecture, and development processes.
  • Prior demonstrable experience using implementation tools, such as Simulators, synthesis engines, STA tools etc.
  • Strong prior experience of independently developing complex testbenches in SystemVerilog and UVM test environments.
  • Experience of writing, managing, and maintaining complex documentation and plans.
  • Experience in scripting with languages such as TCL, Python, Shell scripts.
  • Experience in version control, such as Git, SVN.
