Asbestos Project / Contracts manager - Huddersfield

Job Description

Our client is a long standing asbestos consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality asbestos and environmental services to clients throughout the UK. They are recruiting for an ambitious and commercially focused Asbestos Project / Contracts Manager based in and around the Huddersfield area. The successful applicant will have extensive experience in a project or contracts management role within the asbestos industry, with a proven track record of managing projects from start to finish, tendering, estimating, and leading site teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Hold a P402, P403 or P404 certificate or the equivalent RSPH qualification.
• Experience in an asbestos Project Management / Contracts Manager role.
• Previous work as an asbestos surveyor, analyst or consultant.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Office.
• Well versed in asbestos health & safety legislation and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage a wide range of asbestos projects, from tendering to completion.
• Produce estimates, quotations, risk assessments and comprehensive management reports.
• Conduct site audits and ensure all work complies with Health & Safety procedures.
• Oversee contracts on commercial projects and supervise site staff.
• Write tender specifications, accompany contractors to sites and evaluate submitted tenders.
• Implement quality control and reporting, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and keep them informed of project progress.
