Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear

Salary / Benefits: £19,000 - £25,000 + Benefits + Training

Level of Experience: Further progression to get P402

Our client is a highly regarded and UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy, known for their provision of a specialist range of asbestos analytical and surveying duties to a nationwide client base. They currently seek the services of an experienced and knowledgeable Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Newcastle Upton Tyne area. The successful postholder will hold the P401 asbestos certificate.

Applications will be considered from Gateshead, Sunderland, South Shields, Washington, Alnwick, Morpeth, Ponteland, Cramlington, Whitley Bay, Bedlington, and Blyth.

Experience / Qualifications

• The successful Asbestos Lab Analyst will hold the P401 qualification.
• Previous experience working within a laboratory/asbestos environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Package.

The Role

• Receiving and preparing asbestos samples.
• Carry out bulk analysis of asbestos materials.
• Ensuring all samples are stored appropriately or returned to the correct place.
• Addressing any issues appropriately.
• Ensure all analytical equipment is in line with current guidelines.
• Carrying out any laboratory duties as and when required.
