Asbestos Lab Analyst - Stevenage

Job Overview

Our client is an expanding and growing UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy. They are seeking an organised and reliable Asbestos Lab Analyst to join them in the Stevenage area. The ideal candidate will hold the P401 certificate and have experience in bulk analysis of asbestos samples. Consideration will be given to applicants from Hertford, Watford, Luton, and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• P401 qualification
• Proven track record working in a laboratory and within the asbestos parameter
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Package - using the Database
• Additional certificates: P402, P403, P404, S301 CCP (optional)

Key Aspects of the Role

• Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
• Preparing samples for analysis and carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content efficiently and adhering to UKAS regulations.
• Completing analysis test sheets and ensuring workload completed within required time frame.
• Building and maintaining a good working relation with customers/clients.
• Getting involved with other laboratory tasks as required.
• Other duties include organising, multitasking, and carrying out some administrative duties.
• Entering data, analysing and checking reports.
• Completing and uploading reports as required.
• Liaising and assisting clients with enquiries.
• Dealing with internal and external databases and offering technical help to customers and staff.
