About the Role

We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated Art Teacher to join our team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students, develop their artistic skills, and foster a love of creativity in a supportive learning environment.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging art lessons, encourage students to explore a range of artistic techniques and media, and contribute to a vibrant and inclusive school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality Art lessons.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and other relevant qualifications where applicable.
  • Organise and display students' artwork throughout the school.
  • Support extracurricular art activities, exhibitions, and school events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Art at secondary school level (Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply).
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
  • Is passionate about inspiring young people through art and creativity.
  • Has strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
