We are a supportive and nurturing practice, with a longstanding history of providing high qualityGP training and teaching ImperialCollege Medical Students. We have weeklypractice meetings and regular practice educational sessions. At our very core we thrive on achieving good patient care, developing clinical expertise and working collaboratively withcolleagues throughout the health and social care system.
We are seeking applicants who are enthusiastic and highly motivated primarily for weekdaysessions but also require GPs for eveningand weekend sessions.

Main duties of the jobThedelivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population.
Genericprescribing adhering to local and national guidance.
Effectivemanagement of long-term conditions.
Processingof administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptionrequests and other associated administrative tasks.
Ona rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles.
Maintainaccurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy andguidance.
Workingcollaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload.
Adhereto best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process.
Acceptdelegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF.
Attendand contribute effectively to practice meetings as required.
Contributeeffective to the development and maintenance of the practice including;clinical governance, training, financial management and HR.
Ensurecompliance with the appraisal process.
Prepareand complete the revalidation process.
Committo self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional developmentacross the practice team.
Supportthe training of medical students from all clinical disciplines.
Encouragecollaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a cultureof continuous improvement at all times.

Job responsibilitiesInaddition to the main job role, the salaried GP may be requested to:
a.Participatein practice audits as requested by the audit lead
b.Participatein local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care
Participate in the review of significant andnear-miss events applying a structured approach i.e. root cause analysis (RCA)
Person Specification Qualifications- Qualified GP
- MRCGP
- Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
- General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
- Outstanding level of clinical knowledge and skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Clear, polite telephone manner
- Competent in the use of Office and Outlook
- Effective time management (Planning & Organising)
- Ability to work as a team member and autonomously
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Problem solving & analytical skills
- Ability to follow clinical policy and procedure
- Experience with audit and able to lead audit programmes
- Experience with clinical risk management

- Project lead as required with CQC, ICB and QOF
