Area Sales Manager - North East

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer required to join a leading manufacturer of instrumentation, sensors (Pressure, level, flow), process instruments & flowmeters used in process industries, including chemical, food & beverage, etc.

The Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer will work from home and cover the North East of the UK (including NE, DH, SR, DL, TS, YO, HU, DN).

The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer will ideally have a background selling measurement related products, flow equipment such as valves, pumps, instrumentation, process control, sensors, process equipment, process instruments, metrology or an engineering sales background selling into the process industries such as chemical, food & beverage.

A technical or hands-on background within instrumentation, sensors, calibration, or flowmeters, looking for a move into technical sales would also be considered.

Role

1. Developing new customers and maintaining existing accounts
2. Selling process instrumentation, sensors (Pressure, level, flow), flowmeters, etc to a diverse range of industries
3. Selling into the process market, including chemical, food & beverage
4. Working from home covering the North East of the UK (including NE, DH, SR, DL, TS, YO, HU, DN).
5. Assist in the reporting, forecasting, and managing of allocated industries and accounts within the North West of the UK
6. Follow-up leads generated by marketing activities
7. Liaise with various engineering departments

Requirements

1. Experience as an Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Sales Executive, Business Development Manager or similar
2. Have a background selling measurement related products, flow equipment such as valves, pumps, instrumentation, process control, sensors, process equipment, process instruments, metrology, or an engineering sales background selling into the process industries such as chemical, food & beverage.
3. Must be based on patch in the North East - NE, DH, SR, DL, TS, YO, HU, DN
4. Technical / engineering qualification would be beneficial
5. A technical or hands-on background within instrumentation or flowmeters, looking for a move into technical sales would also be considered.
6. Full UK Driving Licence
