Location: Home-based, with regular travel within the area and monthly travel to the Head Office in
Milton Keynes
Reports to: Area Manager (Lead)

About the Role

The Area Manager is responsible for growing participation in table tennis across a specific area,
with a strong focus on widening access and supporting progression from first experience into
sustained participation and the player pathway.

Working in a place-based way, the role builds and leads Community Table Tennis Partnerships,
embedding table tennis within communities and using the sport to deliver social impact,
particularly within underrepresented groups.

Alongside this, the role plays a key part in strengthening clubs and leagues, supporting them to be
inclusive, sustainable, and well-connected within the wider table tennis system.

The Area Manager supports the local delivery of national programmes such as TT Kidz and Ping in the
Community, ensuring they respond to local need and create clear, inclusive progression
opportunities into clubs, competition, and lifelong participation.

As part of Table Tennis England's commitment to learning and improvement, the role gathers and
shares insight from across an area, using local intelligence to demonstrate impact, inform
decision-making, and influence future development.
