Project Architect Job DescriptionThe architecture and buildings department is responsible for the development, construction, and maintenance of all buildings in a dynamic and enriching environment. As the project manager representing the client, you contribute to exciting projects in the canton (gymnasiums, vocational schools, prisons, museums, etc.).Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the projects and construction processes.- Coordinate and monitor the progress of the projects according to the directives of the General Directorate of Properties and/or the Council.- Work closely with the services for preliminary studies, project management, and direction.- Ensure quality, meet financial objectives, and adhere to deadlines.- Manage meetings and chair sessions.- Represent the architecture and buildings department to partners, third parties, services in Vaud, and stakeholder groups.For more information, you can consult the specifications here or contact Mr. X, Director of Architecture and Buildings.Requirements:- A Master's degree from an EPF or HES in architecture, engineering, or equivalent.- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in project management.- Excellent knowledge in project management, economics, and land planning.- Familiarity with public procurement procedures.- Good writing skills, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to foster positive exchanges within networks of stakeholders and specialists.- A sense of responsibility and work ethics.WHO ARE WE?At the General Directorate of Properties (DGIP), we build and renovate public buildings such as higher education institutions, gymnasiums, museums, and prisons.
