About the role The Role

GAP Group Apprentices are essential in ensuring our Depots have the right level of expertise, now and in the future.

As an Apprentice Hire & Sales Co-ordinator (HSC), you will be enrolled in a blended learning programme where you will gain NVQ Level 2 in Hire Desk Operations through a combination of on-the-job experience and online training with a leading provider.

Our 2-year Apprenticeship Programme covers all the essential skills needed to become an HSC, including running an effective hire desk, stock control, purchasing, driving sales, and managing customer queries while coordinating drivers to meet customer needs. You'll also learn customer service, sales skills, back-office administration, and credit control.

The programme allows you to earn while you learn:
- Under 18s: max 39 hours/week, starting salary £15,500/year.
- Over 18s: max 42.5 hours/week, starting salary £16,700/year.
After Year 1, you will be paid at the National Minimum Wage rate for your age group.

About You

To apply for the GAP Group Apprenticeship Programme, you should demonstrate:

- 4 GCSEs at grades C/D
- Keen interest in customer service and sales
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and IT skills
