Job Description
What will I be doing?

Join our entry level apprenticeship scheme opportunity in Surrey and play a key role in supporting a high profile residual waste contract with a strong focus on sustainability, community engagement, and social value.

You'll gain hands on experience, work with supportive colleagues, and quickly build skills in communications, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities include
  • Supporting reporting and communications for the Surrey residual contract
  • Helping deliver our social value and sustainability commitments
  • Engaging with clients, local communities, and stakeholders
  • Creating and sharing internal communications across teams
  • Assisting with events, including presenting at community and public engagement activities
What are the requirements / qualifications?

We're looking for someone motivated, organised, and eager to learn, whether you're starting out in your career, changing direction, or returning to work.

Essential and desirable requirements:

  • GCSE Maths and English Language at Grade C (4) or above
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and databases (intermediate level or willingness to learn)
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with confidence speaking to groups or at eventsAbility to organise tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (required due to travel across Surrey)
  • You cannot hold a level 3 Business Administration qualification already or currently be studying any other qualification.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Some administration or customer facing experience
  • An interest or basic knowledge of environmental sustainability
  • Problem solving skills and a proactive, positive approach
