Apprentice / Trainee Accountant - A Level College Leaver

Apprentice / Trainee Accountant, Camberley, c£19k + full AAT Study

We're working with a busy accountancy firm to recruit an Apprentice / Trainee Accountant. The client is looking for a recent A level college leaver looking for an entry level training role.

Candidates will ideally have GCSE Maths and English, preferably grade 6 or above and three A Levels (ideally including Mathematics) at Grade B or above.

In this cracking career starter role you undertake a formal training contract to study for your AAT qualification. Work-wise you will be trained to do bookkeeping to trial balance, prepare VAT returns and reconcile balance sheet accounts and then move on to preparing annual Statutory Accounts and Corporation Tax returns. Further experience in time will include preparing client payrolls, personal tax returns, assist on audits, and develop, document and update new procedures and systems. This is a perfect job for someone looking to start a successful career in Accountancy.

We're looking for someone with initiative and drive, hardworking and organised with a "can do" attitude, who's not afraid to take on new tasks. Accuracy, attention to detail and working to deadlines are an integral part of the role. Personality and a sense of humour are also important in this friendly and supportive team environment.

Once the AAT qualification is complete, it is likely there will be the opportunity to train to become a fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
