Location: Skipton North Yorkshire - Water Street Community Primary School

About the role

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a cleaner, with an optional caretaker role, for Water Street Community Primary School, Skipton, North Yorkshire. The cleaner will dust, vacuum and clean sanitary fittings between 15:30 and 18:30 (some flexibility). The caretaker will open the school at 06:30, set the alarm, secure the site and lock it after cleaning. Pay for both roles is £12.85 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties on site (dusting, vacuuming, sanitary fittings)
• Open and lock the school as caretaker (set alarm, secure site)
• Coordinate with staff when necessary

Qualifications & Requirements

• Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure required
• Experience or willingness to learn cleaning tasks
• Ability to work independently and maintain site security
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of adults at risk
