Sales Application Engineer

As a Sales Application Engineer, you will search for technical solutions to complex packaging challenges. As a technical expert, you will be involved throughout the entire sales process. In this role, you will support the Area Sales Manager by providing the best possible technical solutions for various packaging challenges. You will work closely with different technical disciplines and occasionally travel to customer sites.

You will be responsible for evaluating customer needs, technical possibilities, and price technical limits. In this challenging role as a sales application engineer you are involved in:

• Translating customer requirements into clear layouts and accurate calculations and compiling these into complete quotations.
• Assisting and supporting Area Sales Managers during (international) customer visits as a technical expert.
• Successfully transferring the correct information to the project organization for sold projects.
• Translating customer feedback into internal input and contributing to the ongoing development of an efficient process.
• Converting technical specifications and requirements into (product-) solutions.
• Keeping up to date with the latest developments in your field and sharing this knowledge with your colleagues.

Who you are

• You have a completed bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering & Management.
• You have at least 3 years of work experience in a technical, commercial-technical, or technical project leader role, preferably in the machine-building industry.
• You have experience with AutoCAD.
• You have excellent to good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written. Do you also speak French or German? Then this is a strong plus.
• You work well independently but also collaborate effectively with colleagues when needed.

This position is available for 32 to 40 hours per week. Your working days are Monday to Friday. You have flexibility in arranging your working hours. Prefer to start early in the day or work later in the evening? It's up to you. Our customers are located worldwide, so we ask for your flexibility in providing the best service possible. Prefer to work from home occasionally? That's certainly possible!
