CNC Applications Engineer - Contract

Location: Sheffield
Rate: £40 - £45 per hour Outside IR35
Hours: Monday - Friday Days On-Site

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading precision engineering business to recruit an experienced CNC Applications Engineer on a contract basis.

The role will focus on CNC offline programming, NPI and manufacturing process development, supporting the production of complex precision-engineered components.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise CNC programmes for multi-axis machining
• Support NPI, process development and engineering projects
• Improve machining processes, cycle times and manufacturing efficiency
• Provide technical support across engineering and production

Skills & Experience

• Strong CNC offline programming and machining background
• Experience with hyperMILL, Mastercam, VERICUT or similar CAM software
• Proven 5-axis CNC machining experience
• Turning and mill-turn experience desirable
• Experience in NPI and manufacturing process improvement
• Siemens NX knowledge advantageous
• Background in aerospace, medical or other highly regulated manufacturing environments beneficial
