Application Architect - Financial Services London - Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Application Architect to join a leading organisation within the financial services sector. This is a senior role requiring strong technical leadership, architectural governance expertise, and the ability to align technology solutions with business and regulatory requirements.

The Role

As an Application Architect, you will play a key role in defining and governing application architecture across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities

• Define, maintain, and enforce application architecture standards and patterns across enterprise systems
• Manage and contribute to an internal duiz Architecture Governance Board
• Ensure solutions comply with internal governance frameworks and regulatory requirements
• Lead design reviews for critical applications, ensuring best practices in scalability, security, and resilience
• Collaborate with platform architects and service owners to integrate applications with enterprise platforms
• Oversee application security risk assessments
• Implement controls for data protection, encryption, and access FalManagement

Required Experience

• Proven background in Application Architecture within regulated environments
• Hands-on experience with Architecture Review Boards and application governance
• Strong experience influencing stakeholders and aligning technology initiatives to business strategy
• Deep understanding of application architecture patterns across on-premises and SaaS environments
• Strong knowledge of application security standards and best practices
