Lead iOS Engineer (Custom Software)

• Mode: Hybrid (minimum 20% onsite).

• Office Location: Stokenchurch.

• Contract Duration: 3 months (Initial).

Role Overview: We are seeking an expert-level (P4) Custom Software Engineer to join a critical project within the Public Sector. This role focuses on developing high-performing, scalable iOS solutions using modern frameworks and Agile methodologies. As a subject matter expert, you will drive technical decisions, mentor junior developers, and ensure the seamless integration of complex components across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expert Development: Design, code, and enhance custom iOS applications using modern frameworks (Swift/SwiftUI).

• Technical Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert, leading team decisions and providing solutions to complex problems across multiple workstreams.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high engineering standards.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative software that meets specific user requirements.

• Mentorship: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring junior team members.

Technical Requirements:

• Expert Proficiency: Apple iOS Application Development (Swift/SwiftUI).

• Advanced Proficiency: Custom Application Development and Software Design/Architecture.

• Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance is mandatory for this position.

• Industry Standards: Deep understanding of Software Engineering best practices and scalable solution design.
