We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team of consultants working for our clients in the energy sector. As Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in understanding and analyzing the international energy market, contributing to strategic decision-making and operational excellence at our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize your expertise in Python and data analytics to extract insights from complex datasets and develop predictive models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide actionable recommendations based on analytical findings.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using PowerBI to visualize key performance indicators and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Demonstrate a strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on the overarching goals of projects and initiatives.
• Apply a pragmatic, problem-solving approach to address challenges and optimize operational processes.
• Embrace a culture of operational excellence by continuously improving methodologies and workflows.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Informatics or Economics with a demonstrated interest in the energy sector, or equivalent through experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python or VBA and data analytics is essential; knowledge of PowerBI is a strong advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand and master complex processes.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a results-oriented approach to achieving objectives.
• Fluency in Dutch or French, with adequate knowledge of the other language, and proficient in English both orally and in writing.
• Fluent communication style with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively.
