Analytical Development Scientist (6-month contract)

Role Purpose:
As an Analytical Development Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our manufacturing processes for both new and existing products. Your expertise will drive improvements through in-depth measurement science, ensuring we meet our business targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver cutting-edge analytical solutions for process development and manufacturing support.
  • Stay ahead of scientific advancements and proactively apply them to your projects.
  • Plan and conduct non-routine chemical and physical analyses to support the development and manufacturing of processes.
  • Provide expert laboratory support in Analytical Chemistry to local and global teams.
  • Mentor and develop fellow scientists in analytical techniques and best practices.
  • Champion safety and compliance, improving ways of working with our Departmental Safety Leadership teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate findings in line with regulatory requirements.

What You Bring:
We are looking for candidates with a combination of education, experience, and skills:

  • A degree (BSc, MSc, or equivalent) in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry with a strong track record in analytical method development.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of chemical and physical analytical techniques (eg, LC, GC, MS, NMR, FTIR) and critical data analysis.
  • Substantial experience in manufacturing support activities, including process monitoring and data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a knack for networking.
  • A proactive approach to learning and applying new skills, with the ability to handle complex situations.
