Position Title: Analyst, PPA Origination, EMEA

Department: Energy Management

Reports To: PPA Origination Manager, EMEA

Location: Hybrid in Office - Madrid, Spain OR Milan, Italy

Position Summary:

This role is key to securing the sales of energy for our pipeline in Europe that is in the last phase of development, construction and/or operational phase. These transactions will drive the optimization of revenues, along with minimizing the risks associated with market volatility. Within this position, the commercial interaction with prospective and current off-takers is fundamental, from the origination of opportunities until the execution of the transactions.

Responsibilities:

Origination of energy transactions

• Support the origination, negotiation, and execution of PPAs for solar PV and BESS projects across multiple European regions, ensuring alignment with strategic and commercial objectives.

Commercial relationship

• Coordinate the preparation of internal documentation and executive-level presentations, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support the structuring and successful execution of energy contracts.

Market Analysis

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of European energy markets, focusing on electricity market design, energy offtake opportunities (e.g., PPAs), regulatory developments, and the evolving competitive landscape.

Additional energy-related transactions

• Manage and continuously enhance critical data assets, including market trackers and reporting tools, to provide accurate, actionable insights that inform high-level decision-making.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in PPAs, Renewable Energy Procurement, and/or European Power Markets.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Economics/Finance.
• Specialized master's degree in Renewables or Power Markets is a plus.
• Previous experience in the solar PV/renewables sector is a plus.
• Must be fluent in English communications; Spanish and Italian fluency is a plus.
• High predisposition to multi-task working and flexibility for dynamic needs.
• Excellent use of MS Office tools.
• Strong analytical and process management skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work autonomously.
• Self-driven and proactive attitude with initiative to take on challenges.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and intercultural skills.
• Strong understanding of and view of the main European power markets; in particular on fundamentals, market players, interconnections, etc.
• Financial modelling skills.
• Structured, ordered, and accurate working standards.
• Business travel may be required from time to time.
