The Programme

We are currently supporting multiple NHS ENT insourcing programmes across East of England, Midlands and North West England, designed to increase surgical capacity through structured theatre delivery.

These programmes focus on delivering planned ENT theatre lists during weekends and out-of-hours periods, supporting elective recovery and reducing surgical backlogs within a controlled, consultant-led service model.

You will be working within a structured and clinically governed environment, supporting safe and efficient delivery of theatre activity alongside ENT surgical teams.

Your Role in This Programme

• Deliver anaesthetic care across ENT theatre lists within your scope of practice
• Undertake pre-operative assessment and ensure patient suitability for anaesthesia
• Manage airway, sedation, and intraoperative patient safety during ENT procedures
• Work collaboratively with ENT Consultants and the theatre MDT to ensure safe and efficient list delivery
• Support consistent throughput while maintaining high clinical standards and patient safety
• Contribute to post-operative handover and recovery planning where required
• Operate within agreed clinical governance frameworks, protocols, and escalation structures

What We're Looking For

• GMC registration with licence to practise
• Significant UK consultant-level experience in Anaesthetics
• Experience supporting surgical theatre lists, ideally within ENT or airway-sensitive specialties
• Confidence managing airway and anaesthetic risk within high-throughput elective settingsAbility to work within structured, session-based insourcing delivery models
• Comfortable working to defined pathways, governance processes, and operational targets
• Strong MDT collaboration and professional standards
• Flexibility to support weekend and out-of-hours sessions
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
