Job Description

COMPOSITOR
Full Dome / Immersive Media Production Remote Dublin-Based Production Immediate Start through November

Algorithm is a Dublin-based production company creating immersive media for hemispherical Full Dome
projection. We are looking for an experienced Compositor to join us immediately on a contract through early November. You will sit at the end of the CG pipeline, receiving raw renders and bringing shots to their final state - compositing, integrating 2D elements, applying effects and transitions, and delivering colour-graded output ready for the dome. This is a role for someone with a trained eye and the technical fluency to match.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and ingest raw CG renders, assembling and compositing shots through to final delivery.
  • Integrate 2D effects and transitions, working in close collaboration with the Motion Graphics Artist to ensure visual consistency across the edit.
  • Perform colour grading across shots and sequences, maintaining a cohesive and intentional look throughout the production.
  • Work in both Nuke and After Effects as the shot and task demand, applying the right tool to each stage of the composite.
  • Liaise with the CG team on render passes, AOVs, and delivery specifications to ensure clean, usable material at the compositing stage.
  • Maintain organised comp files and adhere to production naming conventions and versioning standards.
  • Flag and resolve composite issues proactively, communicating clearly with the Digital Imaging Supervisor on status and delivery.
What You Bring
  • 3+ years of compositing experience in animation, VFX, broadcast, or immersive media production.
  • Strong proficiency in Nuke for multi-pass CG compositing, with a solid command of node-based workflows.
  • Proficient in Adobe After Effects for 2D compositing, effects, and transitions.
  • A well-developed eye for colour - experienced in shot-level and sequence-level colour grading to a consistent creative intent.
  • Technically literate across render passes, AOVs, and the CG-to-comp handoff process.
  • Able to work efficiently under deadline, managing multiple shots simultaneously without losing attention to quality.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine output or real-time render pipelines is a useful plus.
  • Prior dome or wide-format compositing experience is not required.
Engagement Details
  • Location: Fully Remote. Dublin-based production; overlap with Irish working hours (GMT/IST) expected.
  • Engagement: Project contract, immediate start through early November.
  • Reports To: Digital Imaging Supervisor.

We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
