Aladdin Data Analyst - InsideIR35 - London Hybrid

This is a hands-on role focused on analysing, documenting and validating data mappings between legacy investment systems and target platforms, including BlackRock Aladdin. You will work closely with business users, data teams and technology teams to understand current data usage, identify target data requirements and help ensure critical business processes can continue following system decommissioning. The role is well suited to an experienced analyst who is comfortable working with complex datasets, tracing data lineage, documenting mappings and supporting testing activities within a fast-paced delivery environment.

You will be expected to:

• Analyse data structures, attributes and relationships across investment, risk and operational systems.
• Document source-to-target data mappings from legacy platforms into Aladdin and associated target-state solutions.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand how data is consumed within investment processes and identify the impact of proposed changes.
• Validate mapping outputs through data analysis and reconciliation activities.
• Support business and user acceptance testing by helping define test scenarios, reviewing results and investigating issues.
• Document data definitions, business rules, transformations and exceptions.
• Work closely with technology, data management and programme teams to track issues, dependencies and outstanding actions.
• Produce clear and accurate documentation that can be used by delivery and support teams.
• Communicate progress, risks and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Must-have skills

• Approximately 5 years' experience in a Data Analyst, Data Migration Analyst, Business Data Analyst or similar role.
• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to analyse, reconcile and investigate complex datasets.
• Experience documenting source-to-target mappings and data transformation requirements.
• Experience supporting system migrations, data migrations or large-scale change programmes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams concurrently.
• Strong experience with Tableau and or PowerBI
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience producing high-quality documentation suitable for both business and technical audiences.
