Air Freight Specialist

DP World, the fast-growing transportation and logistics company that currently handles more than 10% of world trade, is seeking a dedicated Air Freight Specialist to join our growing Freight Forwarding office in Prague, Czech Republic.

Your Responsibilities:

• Full management and coordination of Air Freight processes from quotation to delivery.
• Generate competitive quotes through accurate pricing, procurement, and optimization.
• Negotiate rates with airlines, agents, carriers, and logistics partners for cost-effective solutions.
• Process transport orders via TMS, secure space reservations, and issue shipping instructions.
• Coordinate air/truck pickups, deliveries, and monitor progress for on-time performance.
• Prepare and validate Air transport documents (AWB, invoices, packing lists) and customs paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with hazardous/restricted items handling and documentation standards.
• Provide excellent customer service: address inquiries, updates, complaints, and shipment discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, finance, warehousing, customs) and support sales with market insights.
• Maintain real-time TMS updates, manage file closure/invoicing, and prepare efficiency reports to meet KPIs.

Your Profile:

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (completed secondary education also considered; higher education preferred).
• IATA DGR certification (preferred but not mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Freight Forwarding industry, with strong focus on Air Freight operations.
• In-depth knowledge of shipping documentation, procedures, and international trade regulations.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and execute in fast-paced environments with analytical precision.
• Proficient in MS Office, Transport Management Systems (TMS), and CRM platforms.
• Detail-oriented with unwavering commitment to high service quality and on-time delivery.
• Flexible, adaptable, and proactive in driving initiatives through questioning, planning, and follow-up.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken) as well as Czech.
