Agricultural Technician

We are looking for Agricultural Technicians to work out of either our Tadcaster, Market Weighton or Ripon depots.

To work in a busy Service Department performing maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery. This work will often be done at customer's farms ensuring plenty of local travel around the area.

Qualities

• The role requires you to act in a professional manner and actively promote Ripon Farm Services with positivity and integrity.
• Through your knowledge and experience, advise customers on optimisation techniques for their machines, products and services.
• Perform routine maintenance diagnostics and repairs in the field and at the depot workshop when required.
• Complete all reports and administration required for work assignments on time.
• Understand manufacturers' customer care process.
• Successfully complete mandatory training to support product knowledge and to maintain and develop your skills and knowledge.
• Comply with all Health and Safety legislation, Company Policies and Procedures, to ensure safety of all staff, customers, and visitors.
• Perform pre delivery set up on new or used equipment and supports service specialists when required.
• A driving licence will be required as there will be a need to drive company vehicles and agricultural equipment.
• Knowledge of agricultural equipment would be preferred but full training on products and systems and will be provided.

Hours of work

Monday to Friday (8am till 5pm) with flexible overtime to suit the business demands, this will be seasonally, evenings and weekends.

We are currently looking to recruit skilled and motivated Agricultural Service Technicians to join our teams across our Ripon, Tadcaster, and Market Weighton depots.

Each of our depots plays a key role in supporting our agricultural customers across the region:

• Ripon Depot - Our flagship location, supporting a wide geographic area across North Yorkshire with a strong mix of arable and livestock customers.
• Tadcaster Depot - Ideally positioned to serve customers in West and North Yorkshire, this site delivers a responsive and customer focused service offering.
• Market Weighton Depot - Covering East Yorkshire and surrounding areas, this depot works closely with predominantly arable farming enterprises, providing expert machinery support.

As an Agricultural Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of agricultural machinery, both in the workshop and out in the field. This is a varied and hands on role that plays a vital part in ensuring our customers' equipment is kept running efficiently during critical farming periods.
