Agricultural Lecturer - Lancashire - £30,000 - £37,000 The Job:

A well established land based college is seeking an Agricultural Lecturer to join its growing team, delivering high quality teaching and supporting the next generation of agricultural professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently working within agriculture who is looking to move into education, as well as experienced lecturers seeking a new environment. Full training and support can be provided for those transitioning from industry. You will play a key role in delivering engaging and practical lessons, supporting students both academically and personally, and contributing to the development of the agricultural curriculum.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Delivering engaging and effective teaching across agricultural subjects
  • Supporting, mentoring and guiding students to achieve their potential
  • Assessing student work and monitoring progress
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting quality assurance processes
  • Developing course materials and contributing to curriculum development
  • Building links with industry to enhance student experience
  • Participating in open days, events and wider college activities
The Candidate:
  • Background in agriculture (arable, livestock, farm management or related sectors)
  • Passion for the industry and developing future talent
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners
  • Teaching qualification (desirable, not essential as training can be provided)
  • Industry experience essential
The Package:
  • Salary £30,000 - £37,000
