Job Description

At the NCC, we're shaping the future of civil aerospace-from eVTOLs to next-generation passenger aircraft and rotorcraft. Our work spans structures, propulsion, fuel systems, control systems, landing gear, braking systems, and interiors.

We're seeking Advanced/Principal Sector Engineers to drive customer project delivery and internal capability development within the propulsion and advanced systems segment of our civil aerospace team.

The role focuses on developing and manufacturing composite solutions for aero engines, collaborating with internal teams and customer engineers to advance next-generation engine technology. You'll also contribute across our diverse technical portfolio and support governance, strategy, and business development alongside sector Chief Engineers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team, working closely with customers on projects from early feasibility through to manufacturing maturity.

What we're looking for:
  • A structured, capable engineer with proven experience in advanced composite structures for aerospace or similar sectors.
  • Commitment to high-performance culture, attention to detail, and willingness to challenge the status quo through leadership and governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams in R&D, ideally within TRL 3-6.
  • Strong customer engagement skills, ensuring clear requirements and communication.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing talent.
  • Extensive knowledge of composite materials, manual and automated manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly advantageous:
    • Aerospace propulsion (all types)
    • Advanced systems
    • Aircraft interiors
  • Familiarity with technical strategy development and business development activities, including customer and supplier engagement.
