Senior Aero & Loads Engineer - Wind Turbine Blade Design & Simulation

Are you an aero specialist driven by innovation and excited to optimize the aerodynamic performance and load behaviour of advanced wind turbine blades? At Suzlon Blade Technology , you will work in an international, fast-growing R&D environment where you design, simulate and validate cutting-edge rotor blades for future Suzlon platforms.
What you will do
In this role you operate at the intersection of aerodynamics, load simulation and blade design. You translate aero concepts into validated engineering solutions and collaborate closely with Structural Design, R&D and external partners such as universities and certification bodies.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop aerodynamic blade designs and run aero/load simulations.
- Lead design activities within New Product Development (NPD) programs.
- Prepare design documentation and support validation of prototype blades.
- Design, execute and analyse field tests and measurement campaigns.
- Develop tools and methods to improve aero/load analysis efficiency.
- Drive technological innovation within aero/load development.
- Perform RCA investigations on field issues and deviations.
- Interpret aero-related test data to validate models and design outcomes.
- Monitor industry trends and contribute to Suzlon's Technology Roadmap.
What you bring
You are an analytical and technically strong aero engineer with deep experience in blade aerodynamics, simulation and load modelling, able to translate theory into practical engineering solutions.
Your profile:
- MSc or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Wind Energy or similar.
- 10+ years of experience in aero/load design and simulation within the wind turbine industry.
- Proficiency with aero analysis and simulation tools (e.g., BEM, CFD, FAST/OpenFAST, Bladed).
- Knowledge of certification guidelines and field-test methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and experience in project-driven environments.
- Comfortable collaborating in multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Experience with test campaigns and field data analysis is a plus.
- Background in innovation projects or academic collaborations is beneficial.
