Adviser & Caseworker (Social Security)

Law Centre NI is seeking an Adviser & Caseworker (Social Security) to join our Social and Economic Justice team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist team dedicated to improving access to justice and ensuring that people receive the social security support to which they are entitled.

About the Role

As an Adviser & Caseworker, you will provide high-quality welfare advice, casework and representation to individuals navigating the social security system in Northern Ireland. Working directly with clients and alongside advice sector colleagues, you will help people challenge decisions, secure their entitlements and access the support they need.

You'll undertake complex casework and represent clients before Social Security Appeal Tribunals, applying your knowledge of legislation and case law to achieve positive outcomes. Your work will make a tangible difference to the lives of people experiencing poverty, ill health and disadvantage.

Beyond individual casework, you will contribute to Law Centre NI's wider mission of advancing social justice. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support training, public legal education and policy advocacy, helping to improve both individual outcomes and the systems that affect people's lives.

Candidate Information

Salary: £33,366 - £37,938 plus 5% employer pension contribution

Location: Belfast.

Contract: Full-time, permanent (35 hours per week)
