Sophisticated frauds, involving grooming of targeted individuals, shows the fake recruiter asking the unsuspecting job seeker to take part in a fake job interview, either over the phone or via WhatsApp, and also sending fraudulent follow-up correspondence offering job positions.

In order to facilitate an excellent pharmacy service to cancer research at OUH, a unique opportunity has arisen within the Oxford Clinical Trials Pharmacy Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and proactive band 8a advanced pharmacist who will be able to lead and improve on better collaboration between the cancer clinical pharmacy, electronic prescribing system, and clinical trials pharmacy services.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, as well as innovative ideas on improving service delivery and patient care.

The successful candidate will work to develop the clinical pharmacy service within cancer clinical trials, including responsibility for oversight of cancer clinical trial set up (supported by a designated trials set up pharmacist). You will be the link person for clinical pharmacy queries within cancer clinical trials and will be part of the multidisciplinary team, contributing to trials steering committees. You will be responsible for training and managing rotational clinical cancer pharmacists involved in the clinical screening of cancer clinical trials.

Main duties of the job -To contribute to, deliver, develop and evaluate clinical pharmacy services to cancer clinical trials

-To support and deputise for the Head of Pharmacy Clinical Trials as appropriate

-To be the clinical pharmacy expert in cancer clinical trials, being the link person for clinical pharmacy queries within cancer clinical trials

-To be part of the multidisciplinary team, attending, and contributing to trials steering committees for early and late phase research

-Overseeing the implementation and management of nIMP clinical trials in cancer

-Ensuring clinical trials prescriptions are accurately set up on the e-prescribing system, which are reflective of the clinical trial protocol and pharmacy manual, and aligning with GCP and clinical pharmacy practice.

-To encompasses the four pillars of clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research, with core capabilities and specialisation in a specific area of clinical specialist practice, and in line with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) Advanced Pharmacy Framework (APF).

-To provide specialised professional and technical education and training to enable the clinical units to meet high standards of patient care and safety.

-To be an active member of the pharmacy department and ensure continuous two-way exchange of information to maintain high standards of medicines use within the Trust.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities 1.To contribute to, deliver, develop and evaluate cancer clinical trial pharmacy services to the oncology & haematology directorate in the Oxford Cancer & Haematology Centre and Horton Brodey Centre.

2.To assure the ongoing management of cancer clinical trials according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

3.To support the Associate Director of Pharmacy for Clinical Trials and the Lead Clinical Trials Pharmacist, and Cancer Pharmacy Team Managers, as appropriate, in the provision of a safe, effective and efficient clinical trials pharmacy service to the oncology & haematology directorate, in accordance with local and national standards and strategy, and to promote the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUHFT) as a centre of excellence for Research and Development.

4.To review clinical trial protocols, pharmacy manuals and other sponsor provided documentation, to identify potential aspects of the trial that need resolving before a trial can open within OUHFT. Focusing on clinical pharmacy aspects of the trial and standard of care practices.

5.To attend cancer trial steering meetings and provide expert advice to the committees.

6.To attend trial risk assessment meetings (if appropriate) and site initiation visits

7.To provide specialist advice to University of Oxford Teams designing cancer clinical trial protocols and pharmacy manuals.

8.To assist the designated set up pharmacist to complete the electronic prescription request forms, providing specialist advice and highlighting areas that vary from standard practice and how associated risks can be mitigated.

9.To be competent to add and check clinical trial regimens on the electronic prescribing systems.

10.To review the clinical trial regimens added to the electronic prescribing system, cross checking with the clinical trial protocol and pharmacy manual to ensure that the trial has been correctly, appropriately and comprehensively added to the prescribing system.

11.To have oversight of non-investigational medicinal product (nIMP) trials for cancer.

12.To provide costings of chemotherapy regimens at the request of the designated set up pharmacist, to help ensure that the costs of clinicals trials are appropriately covered.

13.To act as an Authorised Pharmacist in the Clinical Trials Aseptic Services Unit (CTASU) as appropriate.

14.Provide education and training to members of the pharmacy team, as well as the wider MDT

15.To produce and provide input to policies and guidelines associated with cancer clinical trials and the management of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs), including Advanced Therapy Investigational Medicinal Products (ATIMPs)
