We have apopulation of 19,000 patients and offer a wide range of Services to our ownpatients and provider services to patients across East Kent.

Bethesda Medical Centre is purpose built and situatedon a cliff top in Cliftonville on the outskirts of Margate.
The practice team consists of 12 doctors (4 partnersand 8 salaried GPs), 5 nurses, 4 Acute Care Team clinicians, 2 NAs and 4 HCAs and admin & ancillary staff.
Wealso have attached staff who are based at the practice or visit, and theseinclude:- Mental Health Nurses, Counsellors and physiotherapists.

Job Summary
To assess,investigate, diagnose, plan, prescribe and implement care for patients presenting withdiagnosed and undiagnosed conditions and address continuing medical needs.
To workcollaboratively with the general practice team to meet patient needs.
The practitioner will need to prioritise and triage the needs ofpatients accordingly making any necessary referrals for investigations in theappropriate manner. The practitioner will take part in the management of somepatients with long-term conditions. Partof your responsibilities will include visiting patients in their home to assesstheir medical condition, at the request of the lead clinician.
You will be working as part of a clinical team, with 11 GPs and 5Practice Nurses, 2 NA's, and 4 HCAs with a large administration support group.
JobResponsibilities:
Diagnosingand treating patients presenting with minor illnesses
Ensure clinical practice is safe and effective, and remains withinboundaries of competence.
Advise patients on health care and minor ailments with referral to othermembers of the primary and secondary healthcare team as necessary
Administrationand professional responsibilities
Participate in the administrative and professional responsibilities ofthe Practice Team
Ensure accurate and legible notes of all consultations and treatmentsare recorded in the patients computer record
Ensure accurate completion of all necessary documentation associatedwith patient care
Ensure collection and maintenance of statistical information requiredfor regular an ad-hoc reports and audits
Attend and participate in Practice meetings
Trainingand personal development
Training requirements will be monitored by yearly appraisal and will bein accordance with Practice requirements.Personal development will be encouraged and supported by thePractice. It is the individualsresponsibility to remain up to date with recent developments
Maintain continued education by attendance at courses and study days asdeemed useful or necessary for professional development
Develop and maintain a Personal Learning Plan
There is a need to work closely with all members of the Practiceincluding the reception and administrative staff, as well as the medical andnursing team.
There is also the need to establish and maintain good liaison with othersurgeries and other agencies, including the Community Nursing Team, andSecondary Care.

Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcareworkers or the business of the Practice may only be divulged to authorisedpersons in accordance with the Practice policies and procedures relating toconfidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data
Any breach of confidentiality may result in disciplinary proceedings

Undertake distribution of results of investigations, and workflowcorrespondence as appropriate, when required
Person Specification Qualifications- Registration with Nursing & Midwifery Council. Level 7 Clinical consultation and examination module or equivalent
- or Degree in Paramedic Science
- Prescribing Qualification.
- Experience in Primary Care
- Experience in General Practice
