The opportunity has arisen in Cowal for a registered General Nurse with an interest in cancer and palliative care to join our team. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual who wishes to provide specialist support to patients and families within Cowal.

As a cancer and palliative care nurse specialist you will provide expert advice, care and support to patients within the community, collaborating closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high quality, patient centred care. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a flexible and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist advice on treatments, symptom management and anticipatory care planning.
  • Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure delivery of patient centred care.
  • Participate in educational and professional development activities.
  • Support the delivery of palliative care services in the local hospital and community setting.
