Semester Recruitment are currently working with Wakefield Council, who are looking for an experienced and dedicated Advanced Practitioner to join a friendly and stable locality team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident practitioner who enjoys mentoring and supporting others while maintaining a manageable caseload. The role is key in supporting practice development, performance, and quality across the team.

What the Role Involves:

Holding a reduced and capped caseload, allowing time to focus on team development and support

Supporting ASYE social workers and less experienced staff through coaching, reflective supervision, and modelling good practice

Promoting consistent, high-quality decision-making and interventions across the team

Contributing to case discussions, audits, and continuous service improvement

Maintaining strong, positive working relationships across the wider service and multi-agency teams

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

Substantial experience in statutory children's services

Proven ability to lead and mentor other practitioners

Confident in managing complex cases and supporting reflective practice

Committed to delivering high standards of care and outcomes for children and families
