Adult Functional Assessor - Luton - Homeworking Opportunities

ADULT REGISTERED CLINICIANS - RGN, RMN, RNLD, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist.

Location: Luton - Hybrid.

Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Contract: Permanent (Full-Time).

Sector: Adult Clinical Assessment.

Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 per annum.

Start dates available from July, August, or September.

Role Overview

A clinical role for experienced UK-registered professionals seeking to transition from hands on care to assessment-focused duties. The assessor will conduct functional assessments, evaluate how physical, mental, neurological, and cognitive conditions impact daily activities, and produce defensible clinical reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct structured assessments via telephone, video, or face to face.
  • Evaluate functional impact of chronic, complex, and fluctuating conditions.
  • Review and interpret medical evidence and clinical records.
  • Apply clinical reasoning to assess consistency, credibility, and risk.
  • Produce high quality, evidence based reports in line with clinical governance standards.
  • Work within a multi disciplinary clinical environment and utilise digital systems for decision making.
Clinical Frameworks and Skills
  • Analyse medical evidence and clinical history.
  • Consider variability, reliability, and risk.
  • Apply evidence based clinical judgement.
  • Produce structured, defensible clinical reports.
Salary & Package
  • £45,000 - £48,000 per annum.
  • £2,150 approval bonus (post training).
  • Up to 10% performance related bonus.
  • Structured salary progression at 6 and 12 months.
Training & Clinical Support
  • 6-12 weeks full time, paid training.
  • Structured onboarding with clinical mentors and audit support.
  • Ongoing clinical supervision, feedback, and CPD.
  • Full time training required before any flexible working arrangements.
  • No annual leave during the first six weeks.

Essential Criteria
  • Active UK registration: NMC or HCPC for RGN, RMN, RNLD, physiotherapist, or occupational therapist.
  • Minimum 12 months post registration experience.
  • Minimum 12 months UK based adult clinical experience.
  • Background in adult facing clinical settings (acute, community, rehabilitation, mental health).
  • Strong clinical reasoning and analytical skills.
  • Experience producing structured clinical documentation.
  • Confident IT skills and ability to work within digital systems.
