Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)

Location: Arriva UK Head Office, Doxford International Business Park, Sunderland
Contract Type: Fixed Term (3-6 months)
Hours: 21 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £14,545 per annum (Pro Rata)

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Administrative Assistant to support our in house legal team, Transcare Law, on a part time, fixed term basis. This role provides the opportunity to gain valuable experience within a fast paced legal environment, contributing to the efficient operation of our legal function. Please note, this role requires the successful candidate to be on site throughout the week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Invoice Management: Process and track legal and administrative invoices in line with Arriva's policies.
  • Debt Payment Administration: Support the administration of debt payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Document Management: Assist with photocopying, filing, and preparing Court Bundles electronically.
  • Trial Preparation: Maintain trial lists and ensure all relevant documentation is up to date and organised.
  • Correspondence Handling: Draft and send nomination letters and other legal correspondence as required.
  • General Legal Support: Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Precise with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience or interest in the legal field is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving.
Desirable
  • Legal support experience.
  • Knowledge of invoice processing and court procedures is a plus.
