Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and efficient individual for an Administration Assistant within our Managed Clinical Network for Heart and Stroke team based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

Hours and Shift Pattern:

30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

This post is offered on a permanent contract.

What you will do:

You are required to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Heart and Stroke Managed Clinical Network (MCN) and Stroke Specialist Nurse (SSN) team to ensure the efficient organisation and development of the MCN for Heart and Stroke/SSN in NHS Ayrshire and Arran. Promoting the organisation values as well as a positive team image.

The role is wide ranging and involves supporting the MCN/SSN teams with administrative duties in every domain of the role. The role involves setting up processes, developing databases and minute taking.

Qualifications:
  • Educated to SVQ Level III/ECDL in Business/Office Administration or equivalent experience essential.
  • Excellent IT and advance keyboard skills are essential.
  • Proficient in use of Internet.
  • Ability to use own initiative and prioritise workload.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Confidentiality/discretion/trustworthy.
  • Time management.
  • Excellent communication/organisational skills (verbal, written, literate, numerate and practical).
  • Awareness of Policies/Procedures used by NHS Ayrshire and Arran i.e. Health & Safety Legislation, data protection policies, waste management policies.
  • Good interpersonal skills including diplomacy and discretion.
  • Aptitude to learn new skills/advance knowledge by attending training relevant to the post.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
Full UK Driving Licence:

Full UK driving licence is essential to this role.
