The purpose of the job is to support the Company's Treaty Underwriting teams with portfolio insights and actuarial expertise

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

• Continuously enhance actuarial capabilities to assess and optimise underwriting risk selection
• Foster strong partnership with Underwriters ensuring actuarial insights effectively support decision-making
• Lead the half-yearly reserving exercise for the division using appropriate analysis to calculate best estimate reserves and deliver other class-specific submissions as required
• Manage the internal model parameterisation of Underwriting and Reserving Risk, including application of expert judgement, justification of assumptions, completion of audit trails and stakeholder communications
• Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary (FIA, FFA or equivalent)
• Obtained a relevant, numerate degree with a good overall grade
• Experience of managing a small team of analysts/students and prioritising others workloads
• Sound commercial general insurance Lloyd's/company market experience
• Excellent IT skills, in particular an advanced level of MS Excel and VBA
