Compensation: £10.85 - £12.71 / hour

Description

School Sports Coach

Location: Ipswich
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Working pattern: Split shifts covering breakfast, lunchtime and after-school clubs
Contract: Term-time, with optional holiday-camp work
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour

We're looking for enthusiastic Level 2 qualified Sports Coach to deliver fun, structured physical activity sessions for primary school children as part of breakfast, lunchtime and after-school clubs.

Key Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

  • Leading engaging sports sessions for children aged 4-11
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and energetic environment
  • Managing behaviour positively while keeping sessions fun
  • Supporting breakfast, lunchtime and after-school provision
  • Adapting activities for different ages and abilities
  • (Optional) Coaching at holiday camps
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential requirements:

Due to safeguarding and insurance requirements, applicants must:

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Hold a Level 2 sports qualification (BTEC Sport, A-Level PE, UEFA B Licence)
  • Full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
  • Have experience of coaching sport to children (paid or voluntary)
  • Be confident leading groups independently
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS

Please note: we cannot progress applications that do not meet the Level 2 qualification and driving requirements.
