Actions Against the Police Solicitor 4+ PQE Manchester Hybrid Working

A highly regarded firm in Manchester are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join a well-established Actions Against the Police team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will handle meaningful work, represent clients in complex matters and play an active role in shaping the development of the wider team.

As an Actions Against the Police Solicitor, you will:

• Run cases autonomously from start to finish.
• Liaise with clients, counsel, defendants and attend inquests to provide advice and support.
• Support and mentor junior colleagues.
• Contribute to business development activities.
• Travel across England and Wales to attend court hearings, with occasional overnight stays.

What we are looking for:

We welcome applications from candidates with a strong civil litigation background who are passionate about this area of law.

Essential requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years' experience handling civil litigation matters.
• Proven ability to manage cases from start to finish.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and case management skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Experience of working with Legal Aid and knowledge of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act and/or the Human Rights Act are advantageous.
