Accounts Payable Specialist, Walkinstown, Dublin 12

My client is seeking to appoint an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist on a permanent basis.

Candidates will need to have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.

Experience using Business Central or any other ERP system would be an advantage

A good working knowledge of Excel is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice Processing: Receive, verify, and post high-volume vendor and supplier invoices into accounting software.
• Matching Records: Match supplier invoices against purchase orders (POs) and goods received notes (GRNs).
• Reconciliations: Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations and clear discrepancies.
• Query Resolution: Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve invoice and payment queries promptly.
• Payment Preparation: Support payment runs (such as EFT, ACH, or direct payments) in line with agreed credit terms.
• Vendor Maintenance: Set up and maintain accurate creditor records and master data

Key Skills:

• Experience: 3+ years of dedicated experience in an accounts payable or general finance role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in standard accounting software/ERP systems and strong data entry accuracy.
• Excel skills are essential.
• Attention to Detail: High level of precision when dealing with financial transactions, coding, and numerical data.
• Communication: Effective interpersonal skills to handle vendor relationships and internal budget queries.
• Industry Context: Familiarity with waste management, logistics, or utility operations is often considered a distinct advantage
