Accounts Payable Specialist (Fixed Term Contract 15-18 Months)

Mid-Ulster Area Fixed-Term Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a well-established and growing business based in the Mid-Ulster area. This role offers the chance to work within a busy finance function, supporting key financial processes while gaining exposure to wider accounting and reporting activities.
The RoleAs part of the finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the accounts payable function while supporting broader financial operations across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate purchase ledger records.
• Preparing weekly and monthly supplier payment runs.
• Managing employee expense claims and ensuring policy compliance.
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting activities.
• Preparing VAT returns and supporting statutory reporting requirements.
• Maintaining fixed asset records and processing intercompany transactions.
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes, including audit preparation.
• Collaborating with wider finance teams and supporting continuous improvement projects.

What You'll Need

• Part-qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Previous accounts payable or finance experience.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Advanced IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Full UK driving licence.
