Accounting Data Migration Analyst

What you'll be doing

• Analyzing clients' accounting and reporting requirements
• Planning data migrations, data remediations, and/or data onboarding approaches for new and existing clients
• Mapping transactions to the target accounting system's Chart of Accounts
• Performing data migrations, remediations, onboarding using technology available within and/or approved by Gen II
• Designing, building, and testing client/entity/investor level reports, aligned with client requirements and internal best practices
• Designing, building, and testing additional data checking and validation reports to support internal teams
• Creating automation solutions and workflows to improve efficiency
• Serving as a main point of contact for internal and external parties on data migration matters
• Becoming a subject matter expert in data migrations, remediations, and business applications used by Gen II

The ideal background for this role:

• Trained or experienced fund accountant with 3-5 years preferred (qualification not required but advantageous if pursuing or holding an accounting qualification)
• Advanced Excel skills (VBA knowledge is a bonus)
• Experience with fund accounting software (Investran preferred; eFront or Yardi acceptable)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Creative and logical thinking abilities
• Experience with data migrations is highly advantageous
• Experience building bespoke reports and automation solutions is highly advantageous
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to understand requirements and communicate them clearly
• Passion for data and technology
• Interest in continuous learning and growth mindset
• Interest in systems, business applications, low/no code platforms, and automation

Role Location/Hybrid Schedule

This role is based in our Southampton office. While most roles at Gen II are not fully flexible, some opportunities for Agile Working exist depending on business needs, office capacity, and individual circumstances.
