Salary range: £37,881 - £48,559 pro-rata per annum (actual salary £30,304 - £38,847 per annum). Salary negotiable depending upon experience.

Work location: 219 Lisson Grove, London, NW8 8LW.

Hours per week: 28.8.

Contract type: Permanent.

Vetting requirements: Basic DBS Check.

The Role

Accountancy Course Leader responsible for delivering Level 2 and 3 courses using the Mindful Education platform, monitoring student engagement and progress, and developing course files and professional pathways curriculum. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing accurate course information for self assessment and development plans, monitoring enrolment, retention, attendance, punctuality and progression, and initiating interventions.
  • Conducting diagnostic assessments, identifying individual learner needs, referring to support colleagues, and ensuring students have appropriate individual study plans.
  • Preparing course outlines, schemes of work, lesson plans, and identifying necessary materials and equipment.
  • Teaching tutorials, planning and scheduling exams for AAT courses, and producing learner assessments.
  • Collecting learner surveys, sharing best practice, undertaking training, and staying updated on curriculum developments.
  • Promoting equal opportunities policies, complying with Health & Safety regulations, and supporting the organisation.

Work hours: 28.8 per week, with hybrid opportunities available.

About You

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive experience delivering AAT qualifications and knowledge of current AAT assessment processes.
  • Proficiency in teaching in online and one to one environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of ICT to support teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Creative problem solving, collaborative team working, and strong written and verbal communication.
  • Mathematics and English GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (PTLLS minimum).
  • Level 4 Diploma for Accounting Technicians or NVQ/SVQ Level 4 in Accounting, or a qualifying qualification from Accountancy Bodies.
