Job Description

Serve as the primary contact for key stakeholders and execute the infield brand strategy. Develop customer relationships and maximize opportunities through strong, cross-functional account plans.

Performance
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and volume targets aligned with company goals.
  • Act in accordance with AbbVie's core behaviors.
Customer Focus
  • Implement effective customer engagement strategies.
  • Organize and manage stakeholder meetings, training sessions, and medical education initiatives.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with disease state external experts, speakers, and advocates.
Team Player
  • Create SMART pre-call objectives aligned with territory strategy and brand team goals.
  • Share best practices to improve business success across teams.
  • Communicate effectively and adapt style based on insights.
  • Gather insights and enhance market understanding.
Raise the Bar
  • Develop deep clinical and market knowledge, including disease, product, and competitive intelligence.
  • Maintain compliance with industry and company standards.
  • Continuously develop competencies per the framework.
  • Understand multi-stakeholder environments thoroughly.
Territory Management
  • Regularly analyze and report on sales performance to support data-driven decisions.
  • Initiate growth plans for current roles and future opportunities.
  • Create integrated account management plans with cross-functional partners.
  • Identify opportunities and implement innovative solutions to overcome barriers.
  • Respond proactively to business opportunities and threats.
Qualifications
  • Experience as a secondary care account manager.
  • Preferred industry sales experience in ophthalmology, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of industry and local market conditions.
  • Understanding of customer and disease area requirements.
  • Familiarity with policies, protocols, and political environments affecting accounts.
  • Ability to plan actions and manage budgets.
