Job Summary

As an Account Executive, you will support sustainable and profitable growth of IFF sales/share in the Fabric & Home Care categories by supporting key customer projects & initiatives, and leading smaller projects & clearances. You will also manage the fragrance portfolio and related initiatives globally. A key part of this role is to support the internal category team and the wider Global account team.

Excellent interpersonal skills are valuable when interacting with Global team members, internal stakeholders, and customers. The role requires a hands-on, independent self-starter with a strong drive for results, excellent organizational skills, strict adherence to deadlines, and the ability to work in a high-paced environment. These attributes will help you succeed as a member of our diverse and dynamic team.

The account executive will work under the direct supervision of a Global Category account manager or director.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Support in building knowledge of specific market, customer environment, activities, strategies, brands, markets, and consumers through all available sources.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer's business and growth objectives.
  • Collaborate across functions and geographies to achieve common goals.
  • Build meaningful relationships and networks within the organization.
  • Drive personal development to independently manage accounts.
  • Proactively seek feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Understand sales and profit margin targets.
  • Prepare and coordinate presentation materials with support from line management and/or marketing.
  • Contribute actively to winning projects.
Required Skills and Experience

Experience:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree. We prefer candidates with a marketing background to support our growing marketing demand on Knowledge Based Selling.

2-5 years of experience in:

  • The fragrance industry (preferably in Sales or Marketing)
  • Sales or Marketing in other industries (preferably FMCG, Flavors, Chemicals/Ingredients)

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel/database management, PowerPoint
  • Fluent in Business English (written and verbal)
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to prioritize, take initiative, and handle ambiguity
  • Familiarity with marketing principles and digital tools
  • Good presentation skills
  • Basic financial understanding (Pricing, Margin, Forecasting) and IT systems proficiency
  • Interest in fragrances, product development, consumers, and market understanding (Marketing/R&D/CI)
  • Basic fragrance knowledge and olfactive skills
