Account Director, UK/Europe

Location: UK or EU-based (Remote/Hybrid) Travel: 20% across UK/EU

We're not hiring just a salesperson. We're looking for a builder.

Abilitie officially entered the UK and EU markets in 2022 with big ambitions - and now, with an established local presence and a growing team, we're looking for a driven, commercially savvy Account Director to help us accelerate our growth across the region.

This is not a plug-and-play sales role. You'll need to be equal parts strategist, connector, communicator, and closer. You'll have 51% of the decision-making authority and 100% of the responsibility for hitting your goals. You'll represent Abilitie's award-winning business simulations and leadership programs in boardrooms, breakout rooms, and conference stages across the UK and Europe. You'll thrive here if you succeed in earning the trust of senior decision-makers, display ease in navigating complex sales conversations, and don't wait for playbooks - you write them.

What You'll Do
  • Own business development across the UK and EU, from first contact to signed contract - working closely with global colleagues and client delivery teams.
  • Lead value-driven conversations with senior L&D, HR, and business leaders; listen deeply, ask smart questions, and translate their challenges into solutions we can deliver.
  • Generate new opportunities by building and nurturing a network of relationships, participating in industry events, and using email/social channels with creativity and purpose.
  • Develop compelling proposals, respond to RFPs, and confidently present Abilitie's offerings in virtual and in-person settings.
  • Contribute to the refinement of our go-to-market approach in Europe - identifying regional trends, competitive dynamics, and strategic opportunities.
  • Collaborate with our client success team to ensure we work together to exceed our clients' expectations and leave them as raving fans of Abilitie.
Who You Are
  • Experienced & credible - You've spent 2-5 years in business development, client consulting, or strategic sales, ideally in L&D, HR tech, professional services, or a related space.
  • Comfortable in the room - You know how to speak the language of senior leaders, hold your own in complex buying conversations, and build trust quickly.
  • Self-starting & resourceful - You don't wait to be told what to do. You figure it out, find the door, and walk through it - or build one if it doesn't exist.
  • Curious & articulate - You lead with curiosity - asking thoughtful questions of anyone you interact with out of a hunger for deeper understanding. You leave an impression with how you present your thoughts - understanding business drivers, and clearly communicating how leadership development impacts performance and growth.
  • Excited to travel - You're energized by connecting with people in person. You're up for traveling ( 20%) to attend conferences, host client meetings, and build community across strategic markets.
