Account Director - Consumer Tech London

Red Consultancy are recruiting for an Account Director to join our Consumer team. We work with great brands across consumer tech, leisure and lifestyle including travel, mobile technology, retail and home entertainment.
This role will be working primarily on a major technology retailer, a leading gaming manufacturer, a consumer champion and a luxury hotel brand. We are therefore looking for someone that is incredibly knowledgeable on and connected with a wide spectrum of broadcast, print, online and social media influencers within consumer tech, retail, lifestyle and national media.
Some of the things you'll be doing
- Driving campaigns forward and coordinating activity across busy accounts
- Effectively managing a range of coverage generating techniques - identifying possible news hijacking opportunities, drafting spokesperson commentary, driving social editorial etc
- Applying your knowledge of the news & social agenda to client campaigns and using it to generate opportunities
- Maximising your extensive contacts list to seek out opportunities, sell-in and land top tier coverage
Who you are
- An established Account Director with relevant consumer tech and lifestyle agency/client experience
- An excellent team player with great communication skills and leadership qualities
- Excellent media relations within consumer tech, lifestyle titles, broadcast and national news/ features writers
- Influencer campaign experience - especially with gaming influencers - would be a bonus
- Proficient in developing creative and impactful content for a variety of needs.
- You have recent experience working on a retailer, gaming brand
- You come with a black book of media and influencer contacts in the consumer tech, lifestyle space
