You are here: Careers / Account Manager / Client Growth Lead
About usWe're a small, strategic Shopify partner agency trusted by a select group of high-growth ecommerce brands.
We're not a churn-and-burn kind of agency. Clients stay with us for years because we build solid relationships and deliver work that drives results. From smart redesigns to technical performance and UX improvements, we help ecommerce businesses grow.
We've got great clients and huge potential within those accounts, and we're looking for someone to help us unlock that growth.
The roleThis is a commercially-focused account management role. Yes, you'll be the steady hand our clients rely on, but your real value will come from helping us grow their accounts.
We're looking for someone who's confident in a client-facing role, can build strong relationships, and knows how to translate business needs into sold work. You'll be supported by our founder and a network of trusted freelancers, but you'll also have plenty of space to shape your own path.
You'll lead client communication, track delivery, and handle the occasional light-touch PM, but your primary focus will be on helping clients succeed - and helping us grow revenue from that success.
If you've worked with Shopify clients before and sold agency services, you'll feel right at home.
Key responsibilitiesBe the main point of contact for a small group of retained ecommerce clients
Lead weekly/fortnightly client calls, following up with clear notes and actions
Monitor client Slack channels, Asana boards and shared inboxes, responding or triaging as needed
Log new client requests and ensure they're clearly briefed and assigned
Draft and escalate responses when needed, ensuring clients feel heard and supported
Spot opportunities to improve what we deliver and how we deliver it
Proactively offer suggestions and strategic input to help clients achieve their goals
Build strong, long-term relationships that clients trust and enjoy
Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell agency services based on client needs
Shape and sell ideas that genuinely add value - from retainers to UX audits to CRO work
Prepare scopes, quotes and proposals based on client conversations and briefs
Use a simple account planning process to track and grow account value
Follow up on commercial conversations and ensure smooth handover into delivery
Work with the founder to refine ideas and bring sales opportunities to life
Coordinate with trusted freelance partners (developers, designers, etc.) to keep projects moving
Prepare agendas and briefing notes ahead of client and internal calls
Track recurring items like monthly reports, Shopify updates, and retainers
Use AI tools where helpful to speed up workflows or streamline communication
Help maintain and improve internal documents, templates and processes
Research Shopify apps, integrations or features to match client requirements
Draft or adapt proposals and quotes using templates and past work as a guide
Identify ways to improve efficiency or simplify how we work, internally and with clients
RequirementsMust-haves
At least 2 years working in a digital agency or similar client-facing environment
Hands-on experience managing Shopify accounts - you know the platform and its ecosystem
Confident managing client communication across Slack, Zoom, Asana, and email
Comfortable running regular check-ins and leading client conversations
Proven ability to spot opportunities and help sell in agency services (e.g. UX, CRO, development, retainers)
A calm, proactive approach when things get busy - you're the one who brings structure and clarity
Able to manage tasks, chase progress, and flag blockers using project tools like Asana
Based in the UK, within one hour of London by train (for monthly planning sessions - travel paid)
You must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
Experience preparing scopes, quotes or commercial proposals
Familiarity with ecommerce tools like Klaviyo, Hotjar, GA4 or common Shopify apps
A basic understanding of UX and CRO - not a designer, but you know what makes a site convert
Previous experience with account planning or structured growth strategies
Comfortable coordinating with freelance partners (devs, designers, etc.)
Familiar with AI tools and curious about ways to use them to improve day-to-day delivery
Working hours & structureThis is a full time role
We're a remote-first team, but you'll need to be within roughly an hour of London by train.
There's a monthly in-person session in London for planning and strategy, with occasional client events or additional meetups when needed. Travel expenses are covered.
A chance to work closely with the founder and make a real impact
Work with lovely long-term clients who value strategy and quality
Autonomy and trust - no micromanagement here
Room to shape the role and bring your own ideas to life
Low-ego, collaborative team culture
Competitive salary (£30-35k DOE)
Performance bonus tied to client growth and commercial success
Remote-first with paid travel to London
