Access Administration Specialist

The Access Administration Specialist plays a key role within the Corporate Access Team, providing a specialist administrative and advisory service to support the Trust in achieving national and local Access targets, particularly Referral to Treatment (RTT). The post holder will lead on patient pathway validation, ensuring data accuracy, compliance with RTT rules, and the timely escalation of risks to maintain patient safety. They will also act as a subject matter expert, offering guidance to colleagues across the Trust on complex pathway queries. This is an opportunity to be part of a high impact team that directly improves patient pathways and outcomes, while working collaboratively across the organisation. The role offers exposure to technical validation pathway management, data quality, and Access target delivery, supporting both service improvement and professional development.
- Please do not apply if you do not meet all essential criteria, Validate and manage RTT and non-RTT patient pathways, ensuring compliance with national standards identify and elevate breaches, risks, and data quality issues.
- Monitor and support delivery of Access targets, including RTT, diagnostics, and cancelled operations.
- Provide expert advice and real time guidance to staff on pathway management.
- Ensure patients are correctly tracked within Planned and Post RTT pathways.
- Build strong relationships with key departments to support performance and service delivery.
- Support training, guidance, and consistency in line with Trust policies and SOPs, joining the Corporate Access Team means becoming part of a supportive and collaborative environment where your work has a direct impact on patient pathways and reducing errors within waiting lists.
