As part of the upcoming opening of a women's shelter, we are recruiting: A Social Worker for the Women's Shelter (100%) - Full-time Permanent Position Location: Lausanne Start Date: To be agreed upon What you bring to our mission The Chablais Shelter welcomes vulnerable migrant women, with or without children. It offers secure accommodation and social support aimed at autonomy, protection, and empowerment. With a multidisciplinary team, you will provide individualized social support to the women and their children housed within the shelter, especially those in vulnerable situations or victims of violence. You contribute to their social and personal stability while participating in the smooth operation of the shelter. With your professionalism, listening skills, and analytical ability, you support the beneficiaries in their endeavors and promote their autonomy while respecting the framework. Your key responsibilities - Conduct social interviews, monitor beneficiaries, and manage social cases - Develop personal projects and support objectives with the beneficiaries based on their needs and plans - Provide support to beneficiaries in their social endeavors and work closely with internal teams - Coordinate interventions with partners - Contribute to the life of the shelter and ensure compliance with the framework and rules Profile You hold a Bachelor's degree in social work (SEFRI recognition for foreign degrees). You possess good knowledge of the Vaud medical-social fabric, networks, and insurance. You have basic knowledge of immigration law (LAsi, LEI). Experience in the social field is a valuable asset; certification (CAS LAVI, CAS in sexual health, on violence against women, or equivalent) is a plus. You demonstrate strong competencies and experience in group activities; experience in leading activities or groups is a plus. You are fluent in French both orally and in writing; knowledge of English or other languages is an advantage.
